In early 2015, a group of community minded people were sitting around chatting about all the things happening in the community each year. At some point an 'off-the-cuff' comment was made by someone about "how nice it would be to have a single location where almost everything could be found or at least be a resource to start finding out about all the events and activities being organized".
This simple comment got to one of the group, David Bull, a local business owner of a website design and graphics business based in Bouse. David started to formulate a community website concept with no affiliation with any specific Club, Group or Organization. The idea revolved around an old fashioned and simple concept --- "that by everyone working together, providing information, for the common good of the community, they could create a 'one stop' resource for the entire community."
After further discussions with his wife Dani (who really is his boss) a plan was formed and BOUSEAZ.COM was born. David and Dani began fine tuning the idea and enlisting the assistance of several community members to help develop the site and make suggestions on what should be included. These individuals now form an Administrative Team that continues to make recommendations and helps with editing and collection of information. The Administrative Team and the community members who become 'Supporting Partners' to the project through fee based 'enhanced listing options' play an important role in the on-going success of the site.
In late June of 2015, BOUSEAZ.COM became a reality.
To provide the community of Bouse, Arizona a one-stop resource to access event and local information, and a helpful insight into the wide variety of Community groups, organizations, and businesses available in the community.
The sole objective of BOUSEAZ.COM is to help community members find out all they need to know in order to enjoy the numerous and wide variety of interests and community activities that happen in Bouse each year.
Many organizations and/or groups have websites or meetings that enhance the community. BOUSEAZ.COM has gathered these and attempted to create a single 'go-to' location to access these links and any other information.
The administrative team has put together a range of options to help offset costs but still remain affordable for groups, clubs, organizations and business in the community.
Bouse has what residents call a "unique flavor". Unlike so many other small communities, the residents of Bouse are very involved in local activities. Bouse is known for its beautiful desert vistas, lots of clean air, sunshine and mild winters. It is a popular retirement area and also a winter spot for northern visitors wishing to escape the harsh, cold winters.
During the winter season Bouse supports several groups interested in the same hobbies or activities. Monday mornings the Bouse Booster Club serves breakfast for a small fee. They may serve over 300 people with all volunteer labor. Many other organizations meet weekly, bi-weekly or monthly. In general its a very warm hearted place.
